Vaginal Dilators. What are they? How can they help? Maybe you’ve seen these before and wondered what in the world they were! Maybe you’ve heard of them but been skeptical to try them. Dilators can be very helpful with certain pelvic pain and other pelvic conditions, read on to learn more!   

What are they most used for?

Pelvic pain and scar tissue are the two most common reasons we recommend them for our clients needs. There are many causes of pelvic pain and these can be evaluated when you come in! 

How long do you use them?

2-5 minutes at in the beginning working up to 10 minutes, a few times a week.

What do the look like and feel like?

Most commonly they are silicone material with a flexibility to them. They can be rigid as well. Use of generous lube with insertion is recommended with ease during self treatment.
