Sex 2.0 Workshop

July 23rd

Do you remember your first time?

Good memories? Bad? Probably a combination but either way, we're often conditioned to think there's nothing that beats the magic of the first time. But we're obviously not talking about kissing and sex is definitely something that often gets better with time.

Here's another truth bomb for you:
Sex changes for EVERYONE after birth.

We're going to talk about changing the conversation around post partum sex. It doesn't have to be painful and can actually be an awesome opportunity for rediscovery, but like all good things, that takes work and some awareness. Amy is here to take a lot of work out it for you by explaining some simple truths about out bodies, how to enjoy this unique time in your relationship and help your sex life thrive, rather than feel decimated by childbirth!

Truly everyone who is or wants to be sexually active could benefit from this workshop but it also feels extremely vulnerable. Let me assure you, you won't have to share anything personal or discuss what's currently going on for you. We will have a way to submit anonymous questions to make this as comfortable as possible. But we also can't grow inside out comfort zones! Join us as we grow - It will be worth it!
Starting July 31rst- 5 week series

This is a class for YOU and YOUR BABY (and your partner if either of you so chooses), where your baby can eat, sleep, cry, fuss, or whatever else they or you feel like doing. You can practice on your baby, on a doll, watch and listen, or even take a break when needed.

For 5 consecutive weeks we'll meet once a week for approximately 90 minutes. The class structure allows parents and babies enough time to learn strokes, use them at home, review strokes from the previous week, and share experiences each week along with any questions that come up. We emphasize infant massage being a communication process between parents and their babies by watching the baby for their response throughout the massage, responding to their cues and respecting their communication throughout every massage. The process is structured, yet flexible and adaptable to continue to use as your baby gets bigger and older (or to start using on your older kiddos). These classes are completely baby-led and are beneficial to both parent/caregiver and baby in a variety of ways.

Some benefits for baby can be:
  • Promotes bonding and secure attachment with your child over time
  • Aids in the development of your baby’s systems, sensory integration, and muscular development
  • Regulates sleep patterns, increases flexibility, and regulates behavioral states
  • Reduces levels of stress hormones and hyper-sensitivity
  • Provides relief from common discomforts
  • It helps release physical and emotional tension, balances oxygen levels, and provides a sense of security

Some benefits for parents can be:
  • Releases bonding and relaxing hormones into your system
  • Can aid in lactation, self-esteem, and confidence in your parenting
  • Creates a better understanding of and response to infant cues
  • Provides a social environment that is nurturing, safe and fun!

This is a simple-to-learn series with a profound process. There is so much research out there now and we will learn some along with some relaxation techniques, behavioral states, infant cues, infant reflexes, more benefits, adaptations, a special massage routine for the relief of colic/gas, and more.

TRE® or Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and trauma. The exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is based on the fundamental idea, backed by research, that stress, tension, and trauma is both psychological and physical. TRE®’s reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing. After doing TRE®, many people report feelings of peace and well-being. TRE® has helped many thousands of people globally.

TRE was created by Dr. David Berceli. Dr. Berceli is an international expert in the areas of trauma intervention and conflict resolution as it can release stored emotions from the body.

Whether you are a parent/spouse who would like more patience with your family, a victim of violence or accident, a soldier suffering with PTSD, an athlete, or simply a person who wants to become more resilient and just feel better in life, you can benefit from TRE®.
